The celebration will serve as an open house for a new German Heritage Exhibit that will be housed in the museum’s changing exhibits gallery. The open house will feature award-winning author Dr. Don Heinrich Tolzmann, who will be signing copies of his numerous works on German immigration settlement and influences, particularly in the Ohio River Valley. The celebration will also include stylists from Lasting Impressions Salon & Spa demonstrating and showcasing Bavarian hairstyles for Frauen and Fräuleins to don at Oktoberfest, and authentic German clothing will be available for purchase. Refreshments will be provided by Caproni’s Restaurant.
The celebration will then continue at Caproni’s at 6:30 pm, where a Keg Tapping and special German menu will be offered, and the band AUTOBAHN will perform.
