Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility will be serving lunch meal on Friday, Oct 4th, 2013 to raise ALS Awareness. All Proceeds benefit the ALS Association, in honor of Cindy Campbell.

Oct 5th- Walk for Life- Organized by the St. Patrick’s Church- and supported by the Limestone Ministerial Association. Will meet in the St. Patrick Gym at 9:00am. Music will be provided by Gordon Jones and the Shephard’s House Church. The Speaker will be Bishop Roger J. Froys, D.D. Bishop of Diocese of Covington. Then a silent prayerful walk through downtown Maysville will follow. A Light breakfast will be served after the walk in the St. Patrick gym. October 5th- Rally For a Cure-The Maysville Club Corporation will host its 17th annual RALLY FOR THE CURE golf scramble. This event is open to all members of our community. The entry fee is $60 for members and $65 for non-members. You can make your own team of 6 members, or if you prefer, sign up by calling Doris or Bettsy, or by calling the MCC Pro Shop at 606-375-1753. Play will begin at 10:00 AM,
with lunch (included in entry fee) delivered during play. Be sure to wear something pink!! Thank you for your valued support.

October 12th- Kentucky Gateway Museum Center- Saturday Seminar.  “How to Research and Publish a Book” Speakers will be Danny Weddle and Randy Harrison. Saturday Seminars are free and open to the public (Participants will be on their own for lunch,  but are invited to stay all day to research or tour the Miniature Gallery, Changing Gallery and the Historical Gallery free of charge. Ever wondered how books are published?  Danny Weddle and Randy Harrison will be sharing how they researched and published their books.  Both books happen to be on Basketball, but the basic principles of research and publication can be applied to other types of publications as well, from genealogy to non-fiction, fiction to cookbooks, etc.

Oct 19    KGMC Senior Golf Scramble
October 19th- KGMC Seventh Annual Senior Golf Classic – Laurel Oaks Golf Course. The only senior players’ golf tournament in our area is for men and women 50 years of age and beyond!  This is an individual play tournament scored by modified Stableford system rules with handicaps applied.  Prizes are awarded in three divisions:  Gold tee men (66+); Red tee women (50+); White tee men (50 – 65) in 18 holes of play.  The tournament fee is $75 and includes:  greens fees, cart and Laurel Oaks famous BBQ Ribs and Chicken dinner!  Contact: 606-564-5865.
